On race Sunday, Pootjes tried despite a hurting ankle, but had to give up the first run painful after a few laps and also renounced a start in the second Moto.
Davy Pootjes: „I had a very good qualifying practice, but unfortunately crashed at the start of the qualification race and hit my ankle. Due to pain, I had to give up the first Moto and we decided to suspend the second Moto. It is very sad, because until two weeks ago I had a solid season and since then just been in the wrong place at the wrong time. I have to cure the injury and come back with old strength. „
With the Holeshot in the first race the start was perfect for Sydow. After three corners, however, he had to give up the lead, but managed to defend the second place throughout the race in a sovereign manner and to bring it to the finish. For Filip Olsson the start phase was not optimal. After the first lap, the Swede was in 22nd place and also went down in the second lap and was behind the whole field. In the end, Olsson saw the 24th as the checkered flag. In the end, Olsson saw the 24th as the checkered flag.
In the second race on Sunday morning, it was as good for Sydow as in the first race. After two turns, the young German was in 2nd place and was able to defend it even with 3 laps to go with a lead of 10 seconds on the third placed. With 3 laps to go Sydow made a mistake which took him to the ground and back to fourth place. In the last lap, Jeremy Sydow lost another place and he saw the checkered flag fifth. Filip Olsson came back from the first lap in midfield, but showed a strong ride and fought his way forward lap after lap. At the end of the race, Olsson finished in thirteenth place.
With second and fifth place Jeremy Sydow was allowed to take his third place on the EMX250 podium for the first time in his young career. Filip Olsson took 17th and 17th place with places 24 and 13.
Justin Amian: „IIt is very annoying for Davy, but we must not let our heads down, but we must continue to look ahead. For Jeremy, I am pleased that he has returned so good after the injury and that he can reap the fruits of hard work. Filip Olsson also does a great job despite his very young age. We see a very positive and encouraging development from weekend to weekend.“
